Bowie Welcome Sign Survey

The City of Bowie is in year 2 of its attempt to replace the living Bowie welcome sign at the intersection of Route 197 and Kenhill Drive.

Renewed attempts to keep the berm in good condition have faced enough challenges that the city decided to search for an art installation which, with new landscaping, would replace the berm.

Past proposed submissions from regional artists met strong negative public feedback, so the city went back to the drawing board in search of new artists and ideas. Following a recent initial community meeting, the city has three proposals for further development.

Take the survey linked here and vote on your preferred draft. These are general aesthetic ideas that would be further developed with new opportunities for public feedback.
