The new superintendent of Prince George’s County Schools, Millard House II, is coming to Bowie City Hall for a meet and greet on August 23, and it’s a great chance to ask him questions before school starts.

New School Chief to Visit Bowie

The Bowie Education Committee is hosting an informal meet and greet with the new Prince George's County Schools superintendent.

Millard House II, the new county schools CEO will be at Bowie City Hall on Wednesday, August 23 at 6:30pm. He plans on offering brief remarks and then mostly taking resident questions.

Dr. Zipporah Miller, representing Bowie and surround communities on the Prince George's County Board of Education, is co-hosting the event. She is also a great point of contact for education matters and will be available to talk to residents.

No RSVP is required. This is a great opportunity to meet the new school chief ahead of the fall semester.

Millard House II was appointed Prince George’s County Schools Superintendent on July 1 by County Executive Angela Alsobrooks.

House previously served as school chief for the Houston Independent School District in Texas and the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in Tennessee.

House is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma where be began as a physical education teacher before serving as assistant principal and principal at Marian Anderson Elementary School in Tulsa. At 26, Millard House was the youngest school principal in the state before serving as deputy superintendent of Tulsa Public Schools.

Superintendent House received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Montevallo and a Master of Administration from Northeastern State University.
