Old Bowie Festival Returns

The Old Bowie Celebrates Festival returns Saturday, October 7, from 11:00am to 5:00pm in Old Town Bowie centered around Chestnut Avenue and 11th Street.

Dedicated volunteer planners worked for months recruiting a broad lineup of R&B, Jazz, Reggae, bagpipes and international music and dance to be performed on multiple stages.

A large variety of local and international food, artisans, and entertainers will also be present.

Children activities will be plenty with games, puzzles, and entertainment. As they move through the festival, kids can collect stamps in a festival passport to earn prizes.

Children and the young at heart will enjoy stilt-walkers, unicyclists, magicians, and rides on the mini-train along Heritage Trail.

As the downtown area will be sectioned off, free shuttle service to and from the festival will be available at Rockledge Elementary School on 197 and Huntington South Park on 11th Street.

Shuttle bus service will run continuously from 10:00am to 6:30am and will be fully wheelchair accessible.

The festival spans 12th Street and Chestnut Avenue to Maple Avenue on 9th Street in Old Bowie. For more information, visit www.oldbowiecelebrates.us.
