Help Bowie Students Return Home
Bowie High School asks residents to avoid the area of the school and annex as student dismissal begins. Many parents are expected to pick students up directly, and officials hope for a smooth release of students. Please avoid coming to the school unless picking up a student.
A Moment of Gratitude
This is the last thing parents and residents want to face in light of all too common school shootings. I am immensely grateful that no one was harmed, and that the suspect was apprehended quickly.
On days like today, I think a lot about how lucky I am to call Bowie home. I so appreciate the many kind messages of support residents sent in to law enforcement, and the many well wishes expressed for Bowie students.
As more information comes to light on today's events, I ask residents continue to look out for one another and to please keep Bowie students and first responders in your thoughts.
